Mariah Carey rompe récord en Spotify

La cantante Mariah Carey logró el récord de la canción con mayor número de streams en Spotify a lo largo de una jornada con su éxito navideño All I want for Christmas is you.

En ese sentido, según datos de un estudio de la cadena británica de televisión británica Channel 5 de 2016, Carey recibiría cada año unos 400,000 dólares en concepto de derechos de autor por dicho tema, aunque es plausible que la cifra sea mucho mayor a tenor del récord obtenido estas navidades.

Este récord en Spotify, situaría al tema de Carey como la canción navideña más exitosa de los últimos 60 años, superando con holgura a otros clásicos contemporáneos como ‘'Last Christmas', de Wham!

El tema en cuestión, supera a ‘Sad!', la canción del rapero XXXTentacion, que logró 10.4 millones de streams el pasado 19 de junio, un día después de ser asesinado. Además, la canción ocupa actualmente el séptimo puesto en el Billboard estadounidense tras su entrada, en el puesto 29, el pasado 30 de noviembre.
