Así han denominado un inmenso parque temático destinado a celebrar la cultura gastronómica italiana.

Abrirá sus puertasla próxima semana en Bolognia, con la ambición de atraer al menos seis millones de visitantes de todo el mundo por año.

Considerada la “Disneyland para los gourmets”, el parque fue concebido por Oscar Farinetti, el empresario italiano fundador de Eataly, uno de los conceptos gastronómicos de mayor éxito en el mundo en la última década, quien con productos de lujo ha conquistado las papilas gustativas de clientes de Nueva York, Dubai y China.

Distribuido en 10 hectáreas, el parque, que cuenta con un centro de conferencias, quiere convertirse también en una atracción turística y será administrado por Eataly junto con el grupo de distribución italiano Coop.

Financiado por un consorcio de inversionistas privados y autoridades de la norteña Bolonia, cuna de la buena cocina italiana, Fico, como se llama el parque, es el acrónimo de Fabbrica Italiana Contadina (Fábrica Campesina Italiana).
